GK Icon Phases of Development

Our GK Icon curriculum is split into three core phases with supplementary nutrition and psychology content. The curriculum follows our Play, Train Compete Philosophy and focuses on the development of our players through our four main components of the game:

• Tactical
• Technical
• Physical
• Psychological

As players progress through the phases we recommend that minimum weekly training time (excludes matches) increases, this training should be purely goalkeeper focused:

• Phase 1: 45-60 minutes
• Phase 2: 60-90 minutes per week
• Phase 3: 90-120 minutes per week
• Phase 4: 2-3 hours per week
• Phase 5: 3-4 hours per week
